Close your old
account.
Make sure all outstanding checks and debits have been cleared before
closing your old account. If after all your account activity has
cleared and you have a remaining balance, your old bank should provide
you with a check. Once you close your account at the other
institution, remember to shred or destroy any old checks for security
purposes, or bring them to one of our locations and we would be happy to
shred them for you.
